提問者放了一張馬爾克斯《百年孤獨》的書影，想必已經(jīng)知道，一般提到一部**最具影響的開頭，就是《百年孤獨》的提筆一句。我回答過一個問題，是關(guān)于有哪些精彩的**結(jié)尾，我推薦了一本書《結(jié)尾的意義》。那么關(guān)于**開頭，其實也有不少研究著作。推薦一本書《故事開始了》。但這里我打算以具體的例子來說明。

馬爾克斯自己曾說過，卡夫卡的**的敘述語調(diào)對自己的影響。比如卡夫卡最著名的《變形記》的開頭：“一天早晨，格里高爾?薩姆沙從不安的睡夢中醒來，發(fā)現(xiàn)自己躺在床上變成了一只巨大的甲蟲?！边@種不動神色地講述一件有些恐怖的事情的敘述語調(diào)，讓馬爾克斯可以在拉丁美洲的神話傳說中汲取資源，將神話恐怖靈異怪異的事件以一種冷靜的語調(diào)進行講述，進行冷處理。所以才會有《百年孤獨》的開頭：“多年以后，當面對行刑隊的時候。奧雷良諾·布恩迪亞上校一定會想起父親帶他去看冰塊的那個遙遠的下午?！?。

此外，最被文藝青年們傳頌的**開頭就是杜拉斯的《情人》：“我已經(jīng)老了。有一天，在一個公共大廳里，一個男子向我走來，對我說：“我認識你，我曾經(jīng)愛過你，那時你還很年輕，但與那時相比，我更愛你現(xiàn)在飽經(jīng)風霜的容顏?！边@個開頭已經(jīng)成了金句，王小波在一篇散文中也曾經(jīng)提過《情人》這個開頭。

我總念念不忘許多經(jīng)典小說的開頭。

且不說狄更斯的《雙城記》的開篇多么契合我們的時代，也不提托爾斯泰《安娜·卡列尼娜》那句經(jīng)典的開場白，更不要說馬爾克斯《百年孤獨》開篇對后世作家的巨大影響，我只想訴說前些日子剛讀到胡安·魯爾?！杜宓铝_·巴拉莫》（譯林出版社2007年10月版）那種奇妙的感覺：“我來到科馬拉，因為有人告訴我，我的父親，一個叫佩德羅·巴拉莫的男人，住在這里。這是我的母親告訴我的。我曾向她起誓，在她死后便動身去找他。我緊握她的手，表示我一定會這樣做。在她瀕臨死亡的一刻，我可以答應她任何事情?！?/p>

不需要繼續(xù)往下讀，僅憑對這些具有魔力的句子的一種直覺，我已經(jīng)知道在讀的是一部多么偉大的經(jīng)典小說。當然，這已經(jīng)不是我第一次讀到魯爾福的作品，但是之前只是通過別人的評介，一點點地積累了對這篇小說久違的好感和景仰。是不是偉大的作品都需要一個如此簡潔的句子開頭？當然不一定，但偉大的作品總有一些深具蠱惑力的特質(zhì)掩蓋在那些平淡無奇的字句后面，等待著用心的讀者耐心地去發(fā)現(xiàn)。這些特質(zhì)可以是開頭出現(xiàn)，也可以在結(jié)尾中感知，甚至彌漫在整部作品的始末。

很多偉大的小說開始都是很不起眼，這不是故意留有遺憾。但是好小說總有能打動你的東西，比如一個句子，一個行為，一個描述，甚至整體營造的氛圍。偉大有多面，故事開始的時候，也許你沒有察覺到，但是總有一個部分是屬于你自己的，令你怦然心動。一個故事有了好的開頭，仿佛在引誘你，讓你進入它的情境，感同身受，就如同愛麗絲進入了漫游仙境一樣。如果你無法進入故事，任何偉大的曼妙的句子也無法吸引你。換句話說，也許你覺得一個故事的開篇很平常無奇，但是一旦你喜歡上了那個故事，你就會重新意識到，那個開篇的段落在閃光，仿佛那些平常無奇的句子突然具有了極大的魔力。小說的開篇與小說本身本來就是一體的。

小說家阿摩司·奧茲有個形象的比方說，開始講一個故事，就像在餐館和一個素昧平生的人調(diào)情。幾乎每個故事的開頭都是一根骨頭，你用這根骨頭逗引女人的狗，而那條狗又使你接近那個女人。我們只有被引誘的時候才會對那本書好奇，閱讀開始時就仿佛跟書本調(diào)情，半推半就之間，也許成就了好事。這才是人類心理最奇怪的地方，多少年過去了，你已蒼老，以回憶度日，想起起多年前的那次好事，最先想到的往往是開始調(diào)情的時刻。這就是《百年孤獨》開篇的那個句子為何具有如此巨大的魔力之故，因為“許多年之后”我們僅存的只有回憶。而回憶中，“那個遙遠的下午”，我們開始自己的閱讀時，那篇小說的開頭的句子，經(jīng)過了時光的淬煉，仿佛具有了神話般的靈韻，自發(fā)的生命，緩慢生長的力量，歷久彌新。
