而準(zhǔn)確意義上的科際整合（Interdisciplinarity）通常指在研究環(huán)節(jié)中，來(lái)自不同學(xué)科背景的研究者共同協(xié)作、調(diào)適各自的研究途徑，以取得對(duì)問(wèn)題更準(zhǔn)確的切入。同時(shí)也指在教育環(huán)節(jié)中的團(tuán)隊(duì)課程，在這種課程中，學(xué)生被要求通過(guò)相互學(xué)習(xí)理解同一個(gè)主題（例如土地利用）如何在不同的學(xué)科處理下（例如生態(tài)學(xué)和經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)）展現(xiàn)不同的面貌。
