一、Copy

僅僅是照抄、照搬，可以是從頭到尾全部絲毫地照搬，也可以是絲毫地照抄照搬某部分。所以平時說文件寫作與編輯中的“復制、照搬”，都說 copy?？谡Z中也一般說 copy，某個**的一整部膠片，名稱也是 copy。

二、Replicate 

作為“照搬、復制”來用時，一種用法是“按照某種預設的步驟或程序來彼此補齊、更新”；另一“復制”的用法，是指“照搬大的輪廓、基本概念，但需做很多小調整”。所以這不是簡簡單單 copy 的那種照搬。
