可編程中斷控制器(Programmable Interrupt Controller)，也簡(jiǎn)稱為PIC，是微處器與外設(shè)之間的中斷處理的橋梁，由外設(shè)發(fā)出的中斷請(qǐng)求需要中斷控制器來進(jìn)行處理。

早期PC/XT/AT機(jī)里使用的可編程中斷控制器一般為Intel 8259系列產(chǎn)品,這種PIC只能夠支持8個(gè)優(yōu)先級(jí),但是可以通過級(jí)聯(lián)來最多能夠支持64個(gè)優(yōu)先級(jí)。后來隨著Intel于1997年公布Multiprocessor Specification,APIC(高級(jí)可編程控制器)的產(chǎn)生,可編程中斷控制器已經(jīng)漸漸為高級(jí)可編程控制器所取代.該種PIC應(yīng)用于多處理器平臺(tái)當(dāng)中.注:多核單處理器也是使用高級(jí)可編程控制器

apic：Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller高級(jí)程序中斷控制器acpi：表示高級(jí)配置和電源管理接口（Advanced Configuration and Power Management Interface）sci：　SCI（Serial Communication Interface)意為“串行通信接口”，是相對(duì)于并行通信的，是串行通信技術(shù)的一種總稱，最早由Motolora公司提出的。irq：　為 Interrupt ReQuest的縮寫，中文可譯為中斷請(qǐng)求。因?yàn)橛?jì)算機(jī)中每個(gè)組成組件都會(huì)擁有一個(gè)獨(dú)立的IRQ，除了使用PCI總線的PCI卡之外，每一組件都會(huì)單獨(dú)占用一個(gè) IRQ，且不能重復(fù)使用?！　∮捎谠谟?jì)算機(jī)運(yùn)行中，CPU是持續(xù)處于忙碌狀態(tài)，而當(dāng)硬件接口設(shè)備開始或結(jié)束收發(fā)信息，需要CPU處理信息運(yùn)算時(shí)，便會(huì)透過IRQ對(duì)CPU送出中斷請(qǐng)求訊號(hào)，讓CPU儲(chǔ)存正在進(jìn)行的工作，然后暫停手邊的工作，先行處理周邊硬件提出的需求，這便是中斷請(qǐng)求的作用。主要看irq，中斷請(qǐng)求。
