2、hold up除了阻礙，舉起，還是什么意思？

hold uphold up表示舉起的時候，一般有兩種用法：r

舉起身體的某一部分，hold up（=raise） your hand，hold up your head and tell yourself you will never give up.

用手舉起一個事物，多為比較輕小的物體，he held up the book so she could see the cover. he held up his gun to shoot. 因為hold本身不是一個大動作，而主要是一個手的動作，例如hold the cup for me 幫我拿著杯子 He was holding his hat (in his hand).他手里拿著帽子。所以即便加上up之后也一般不是大動作，頂多就是把一個不重的東西舉過頭頂。再一個hold的本意是手持著，所以hold up的目的也一般不是將其舉起來放到車上之類，而只是將某物舉起來讓別人看/聞之類的。

lift/raise和hold要加上up才有舉起的意思不同，lift和raise類似，本身就是舉起的意思，實際lift和raise的確切意思是將一個事物用任何方法讓其到達(dá)一個更高的位置（詞典解釋：raise to a higher position or level），所以lift和raise的應(yīng)用范圍比hold up（一般只用于用手和胳膊去舉起）寬廣很多，原則上來說凡是用hold up的都可以用lift或raise替代：r
