澳洲酸枝不是小相思木。澳洲酸枝是澳大利亞相思木中商品名為Lancewood的一種木材，也被稱為澳洲酸枝。其拉丁名為Acaciashirleyi，商品名為Lancewood，產(chǎn)自澳大利亞。

澳洲酸枝的木質(zhì)細(xì)膩均勻，具有紋理，材質(zhì)硬重，氣干密度在1020-1150公斤每立方米之間。原木的邊材極薄，一般在1公分以內(nèi)，出材率明顯比非洲酸枝（可樂豆）木要高。其干縮率極小，徑向干縮為1%，弦向干縮為1.8%，穩(wěn)定性極佳。

而小相思木是Acacia pennata，與澳洲酸枝不同。
